Farm Journal, Day 1767

Meet 947G – Grayson

This 53 percent Limousin female was the first cow purchased for LAAN Limousin Ranch. We purchased her from the Glendenning J Bar J Ranch at their Next Generation Sale in 2021. She came to the ranch as a pregnant heifer – just like 603G.

Her sire is the infamous TMCK Camden Yards, who is known to be one of the most massive, balanced, and eye-appealing limflex bulls currently in production. His overall thickness and shape is an excellent balance to his structural soundness.

Her dam is SSTO Starla 6803S, one of the proven foundation donor females in the industry. She has become an anchor in the breed from which to build traitleading generations and is the dam of some of the significant breeding bulls and females serving in top breeding programs in the country.

The Glendenning’s Limousin program is known for breeding exceptional and high-quality cattle. With a strong focus on genetics and selective breeding, they’re known for producing cattle that excel in conformation, performance, and marketability. 947G has fit this definition and then some since coming to our ranch.

She is the mother of the first registered heifer calf born to LAAN Limounsin Ranch – 947L – Lil Lou. Her next paring will be with our very own 603J – Jukebox.
