Farm Journal, Day 1732

Meet Jukebox: Our first baby, all grown up

NOOB 603J – Jukebox was the first calf born on the LAAN Limousin Ranch. He has quickly grown into an exciting herd sire prospect for us due to his notable pedigree, heavy structure, level top, and muscle expression.

Jukebox is a son of the 2018 All-American Futurity grand champion and 2019 NWSS reserve grand champion bull, AUTO King David, who has sired standout progeny across the country. His dam, AUTO 603G – Gift is a cornerstone dam for the LAAN program. She is a daughter of AUTO Power Plus 133B and a high-ranking, leading female in the LAAN herd.

He has grown into a gentle giant. His calm demeanor means his docility is right where we want it to be, making him a ease to be around and work around. As a two-year-old bull, Jukebox will get to prove himself when he is turn out with our spring calving herd this month. He has strong EPDs and is expected to pass down strong genetic traits that will make our herd strong. I am also excited to have a handful of calves next spring that look like they just got perms – just like their sire!
