Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.

Once upon a time, a country boy moved his city wife and their city kids to a 46-acre ranch in the Ozarks. Here we are, almost 4 years (or 1,247 days) later making it work on 141 acres and living to tell about it!

In 2018, we learned a farm near my husband’s grandfather’s ranch was for sale. One last-minute plane ride and a long weekend in Missouri and I knew that ranch would be our forever home.
When we first moved to our ranch, to say I was a fish out of water was an understatement! It wasn’t long after we brought livestock into the equation that I knew I needed to learn – fast! Everyday is an adventure and everyday presents the opportunity to learn something new.
Follow us for Farm Journal entries, dumb city-girl questions, and candid pictures of baby cows (that I’ve since learned, thanks to the wise woman who shares our fence line, are called calves in the Ozarks).
Welcome!
